My thirty years’ work experience in Education in different roles and diverse cross-cultural contexts has provided me with a deep insight into the behaviour and mental thought processes of students of all ages, enabling me to fully comprehend the difficulties they face both academically and emotionally.
Experience has shown me that when adolescents have an awareness of their inner resources and the skills to draw upon these, and make conscious use of their strengths, their interest and enthusiasm are developed and sustained, their well-being is fostered and, by extension, their learning acquires meaning.
As I transition beyond my role in teaching, I am excited to bring forth a diverse set of skills cultivated through a continuous commitment to personal and professional development. In 2022, I completed the Diploma in Evidence-Based Coaching at the Athens Coaching Institute, gaining a solid foundation in coaching methodologies rooted in empirical insights.
Recognizing the significance of positive psychology in educational contexts, I furthered my education by enrolling in the Certificate in Positive Psychology in Education at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, earning the certification in 2023. This specialised program has equipped me with valuable insights into fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment and providing a safe space for young individuals to explore their unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
My academic journey began with studies in Teaching English as a Second Language, providing a strong foundation in effective communication and pedagogical techniques. Building upon this, I pursued postgraduate studies in Management and Leadership in Education, earning a Master of Arts degree from 2017 to 2019. This comprehensive program not only deepened my understanding of educational leadership but also provided strategic perspectives on managing educational institutions.
These educational milestones underscore my dedication to holistic professional growth, blending expertise in coaching, positive psychology, language education, and educational leadership. I support adolescents and emerging adults in becoming aware of their character strengths, developing their resilience and achieving their goals through evidence-based coaching.
