Rania Pothitaki

Educating adolescents has been at the centre of my professional life for three decades, and it has developed with continuous professional learning. The current volatile conditions in which adolescents are required to grow have directed me in seeking new understandings, new approaches and skills to facilitate their learning and their socio-emotional development.

Hence, having acquired the Diploma in Evidence-Based Coaching at the Athens Coaching Institute in 2022, I also completed the Certificate in Positive Psychology in Education at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (2023). My undergraduate and postgraduate studies are in Classics, at the University of Athens and University College London, respectively. Of the 30 years of teaching experience in secondary education, I have held senior management positions for the past 14 years; I was the Deputy Headteacher of the Moraitis Junior High School from 2009 and Headteacher from 2015 to 2022.

At present, I am actively involved in raising adolescents and emerging adults’ awareness of their character strengths and developing their resilience through evidence-based coaching. I am a member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), and abide by the EMCC Global Code of Ethics.

My signature character strengths are fairness, honesty, judgement, love and humour.
