Ruth Vlahou
My thirty years’ work experience in Education in different roles and diverse cross-cultural contexts has provided me with a deep insight into the behaviour and mental thought processes of students of all ages, enabling me to fully comprehend the difficulties they face both academically and emotionally.
Experience has shown me that when adolescents have an awareness of their inner resources and the skills to draw upon these, and make conscious use of their strengths, their interest and enthusiasm are developed and sustained, their well-being is fostered and, by extension, their learning acquires meaning.
My signature strengths are kindness, hope, social Intelligence, creativity and love of learning.

Η εκπαίδευση των εφήβων είναι στο επίκεντρο της επαγγελματικής μου ζωής εδώ και τρεις δεκαετίες. Οι διαρκώς μεταβαλλόμενες συνθήκες στις οποίες οι έφηβοι καλούνται να μεγαλώσουν με οδήγησαν σε μια συνεχή αναζήτηση νέων μεθόδων και προσεγγίσεων που διευκολύνουν τη μάθηση και την κοινωνικο-συναισθηματική τους ανάπτυξη.

Στο πλαίσιο του επιστημονικού συμποσίου με τίτλο «Η ζωή με την Covid 19» που διοργανώθηκε από την Εταιρεία Σπουδών Νεοελληνικού Πολιτισμού και Γενικής Παιδείας (ιδρυτής Σχολή Μωραΐτη) στις 24 Νοεμβρίου 2021 στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής, η Ράνια Ποθητάκη, ως Διευθύντρια του Γυμνασίου της Σχολής Μωραΐτη, αναφέρεται στον αντίκτυπο που είχε η πανδημία στην εκπαιδευτική διαδικασία και κυρίως στην επίδραση που είχαν οι αλλαγές και οι νέες προκλήσεις στην ηλικιακή ομάδα των εφήβων μαθητών και μαθητριών.
