What is evidence-based coaching?
The term coach in the sense of an instructor or trainer originated around 1830 when it was used informally at Oxford University to refer to a tutor who provided support and guidance to a student during an examination. The reasoning behind this use was to take the learner from where they are at present to where they want to arrive.
Evidence-based coaching is coaching informed by established knowledge across a number of scientific disciplines in the behavioural sciences. Evidence-based coaches draw upon empirical research, knowledge of the behavioural sciences and their training to provide people with increased levels of self-awareness and appropriate tools to create change.
At rrCoaching, we create those conditions for our clients to explore their inner resources, engage with their goals and evolve into their best self.
